Eight-year-old Drake is snatched up by the King's soldiers and taken to the castle where he is told by the wizard Griffith that he has been chosen to be a Dragon Master like Ana, Rori, and Bo--and his first task will be to discover whether his dragon, Worm, has any special powers.

Series starter! submitted by Sara W on July 13, 2019, 7:35am This is the start to a really solid series of chapter books - perfect read alouds for a kindergartener. There's enough action to keep engaged but nothing too scary or too hard to follow. Drake's big adventure starts out as quite a surprise but his cool head and good attitude take him far.

Dragon Masters submitted by yuliahristova on July 20, 2019, 7:45pm dragon masters is a great book in the begging drake is taken away from family to be a dragon master he gets his own dragon and starts adventure meeting wizards and working with other dragon masters to stop an evil wizard Maldred.
I really enjoyed this book.

It’s convinced him that he wants to learn how to read since reading will allow him access to all of these books. It’s action packed but not scary. I highly recommend it.

He was hooked and kept asking for just one chapter until we finished it in one sitting. He can be sensitive about characters getting hurt and the level of action in this book was exciting without frightening or upsetting him. He wants the next book today!
