Time travel done very well submitted by cherylo on July 18, 2011, 3:45pm One of the sweetest, best time travel stories ever! I could barely put it down, and it had me laughing out loud.

A funny look at the Victorian era submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 21, 2012, 11:49am Based on Jerome K. Jerome's hilarious 19th century novel "Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog)," this book by Connie Willis is also funny and a brilliant read. Willis' book features several time-travelling historian from an Oxford University far in the future as they try to find an object they beleive was destroyed in World War II and try to save cats for the future. This is one of my favorite books by Willis and part of her larger series on time-travelling historians that includes the (not-humerous) "Doomsday" and "Blackout."

Underrated submitted by ark on July 29, 2013, 10:55am Wonderful time-travel story; absolutely hilarious. I loved all of the Victorian era details and the variety of lovable characters.

4.5 stars--but worth reading submitted by hathaway1066 on July 20, 2015, 11:23am Indulges in a certain style of humor that can be a bit tedious but overall it moves along plot-wise. Perhaps familiarity with 'Three Men In a Boat' BEFORE reading it would have lessened the tediousness, but even without that this was enjoyable.
