Simply divine submitted by redwood on August 3, 2019, 8:56pm "Spoon" will make you cry. Gay weaves community garden imagery into a variety of topics, expressing the most earnest gratitude--you will love everything he loves by the end of the book.

Unexpected and moving submitted by gpapp on July 20, 2022, 4:53pm A book of gratitude poems could easily turn maudlin, or sentimental. This does not, however. Gay's direct voice, not shying away from the vernacular, is so engaging that you can't help but be swept up. And the combination of profound and small, unexpected gratitudes are so relatable.
