Can You Say What You're Thinking and Feeling submitted by rross782 on July 7, 2015, 8:05am Have you ever wanted to explain how you feel or tell someone what you think about them and couldn't? DJ found speaking her mind impossible. Her seemingly weird family made it difficult for her. Older brothers who already left for college, a younger brother who rarely spoke, and a tough dad who can no longer work his own farm were not helpful to DJ. Nor was her mom's desire for a sweet girly daughter helpful to a tomboy. Can her family survive if they lose the farm? Should DJ try out for the boy's football team? What will happen if she makes the team? A realistically and amusingly written young adult novel. It was a pleasure to read.
