an engaging 'read'--not the usual dry, stuffy history tome submitted by hathaway1066 on August 8, 2013, 4:14pm I've not read the whole of it, but sampled parts and those leave me wanting to go further. Pakenham gives the right balance of information and well paced narrative to keep the book informative as well as interesting. He make the people involved interesting and focuses on them without losing the big picture.
