good true crime read submitted by Jackie77 on August 17, 2015, 10:52pm Well written account of a superb baseball player being wrongly convicted and sent to death row for a murder he didnt commit. He was exonerated and freed, but his health deteriorated quickly. True story.
Deeply moved submitted by ThomBales on July 18, 2016, 9:29pm I have never gotten into Grisham - and found his liberalism too overt and thus distracting. However, I was deeply moved by this book, which reads like a suspense novel, yet elicited compassion for the main (falsely accused) hero and outrage at the power of the criminal justice system to do more harm than good.
