Bad Start To Great Series submitted by tree64 on August 17, 2011, 10:36pm In my opinion, this was a boring and uncaptivating book. It was hard for me to get through, and I abandoned it twice before I finally finished reading it out of boredom. However, after you get through this book, the rest of the books in the series are a lot better. I recommend that you persevere and finish this book, and then enjoy the rest of the books in the series.

An okay read, but a great series submitted by jdev13 on June 20, 2012, 9:04am This book was somewhat interesting, creating a really cool setup for a great series, but on its own, it falls a little flat. It's still exciting though. I'd recommend reading this, and moving on to the better, more interesting books in the Pendragon series, though the writing isn't phenomenal in any of them.

Great submitted by Memoria1224 on July 12, 2012, 8:40pm At first I thought this book was going to be boring, but when I started to read it, I couldn't put the book down! It got my attention on the first page and it has a lot of adventure in it.

Beginning submitted by Falconite125 on August 1, 2013, 6:45pm This is the start to an epic adventure.

okay submitted by epicmanbig on June 13, 2021, 5:57pm I didn't really like the book but my friend said that the other books are better, it's definitely worth reading the series but I think that this book is kinda bad by itself

First step submitted by kathscot on July 4, 2022, 2:22pm on a long journey. I do think the other books are better, but this is where it all starts.
