COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Good submitted by lec.dank on July 26, 2013, 10:04pm Read in school. I was expecting it to be boring, but it was good.

the sign of the beaver submitted by pamelawright on July 2, 2018, 3:40pm I read this with my ten year old daughter. It was an interesting story and gave us many opportunities to discuss beliefs and prejudices.

Suspenseful submitted by KPNF on August 26, 2021, 8:30am My nine-year old and I read this together. It was really suspenseful, especially as we imagined how a young boy must have felt fending for himself in the wilderness. As a previous reviewer wrote, by reading it together we were able to discuss prejudices and how Native people were treated and hurt as North America was settled. The book also showed how children of the time period had so much more responsibility than kids of today. We enjoyed this book.
