awesome! submitted by smgop on August 14, 2017, 5:36pm This book and Hidden Figures are wonderful in spotlighting the women who did the math that brought us into the space race!

JPL History (through the lives of women) submitted by cannonsr on July 21, 2018, 9:40am Rocket Girls gives the history of the JPL group, through the stories of women who worked there. By the end I felt like I could guess several of the questions on Holt's interview protocol. But it's great read for a family of feminists and space geeks.

Good follow-up to Hidden Figures submitted by Xris on January 27, 2020, 11:58pm I was worried that this book wouldn't be diverse in the women in science and space that were covered, but was happy to see that it wasn't all white. This book shows how JPL started, how women had jobs instead of just being housewives, and how computers started out as people. Now I want my daughter to read it!
