Simple Food submitted by teri on August 4, 2020, 5:00pm When Alice Waters writes - especially in this book - you feel like you're sitting across from her, eating an elegantly simple meal of fresh garden lettuces dressed with just-picked herbs and a splash of olive oil. In a day when many recipes are a mix of complicated instructions and interesting ingredients (that you don't happen to have on hand), The Art of Simple Food is exactly what it says.. Plus, thinking about your food and where it comes from (perhaps growing some yourself), relaxing, and taking in the flavors of a really good meal. A great book.
