Dear Dragon submitted by SBNB on August 19, 2017, 3:12pm This was a unique book and fun to read. I really enjoyed reading this book to my daughter.
Fun idea! submitted by kkellis on July 6, 2018, 7:53pm What a fun idea - a class of humans and a class of dragons as pen pals! My 4 and 6 year old loved this book and I enjoyed reading it to them.
Very clever! submitted by aafrutos on July 18, 2021, 8:54pm This was such a cute book! We loved the theme of inclusion and not judging others. Our 5 and 3 year old really liked it.
Surprising Pen Pals submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 11:02am This book has a lot of charm and uses irony to great effect, even packing in a lovely little moral at the end without being too overt about it, but the author’s insistence on using carefully metered and rhymed text adds little to the story and produces a rather stilted reading experience. The setup, which finds a boy and a dragon matched as pen-pals without knowing that the other isn’t of the same species, offers room for a lot of humor and the illustrations capitalize on this potential with a good balance of silliness and realism (and some wonderful shading).
