A Great History Book About a Tragic Topic submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 7:20pm Although it is a companion to the Magic Tree House adventure that takes place on the ill-fated ocean liner, this book also works as a standalone nonfiction introduction to the story of the Titanic. The authors strike a good balance between providing truthful information about the horrible disaster (without glossing over the massive loss of life) and keeping the content relevant and appropriate for a younger reading audience, especially by focusing on what life was like on board before the fateful collision and providing historical context about why events unfolded as they did.
