An awesome story submitted by susanlam on July 6, 2011, 4:20pm This story is full of fun and humor, and definitely worth the read. It follows 15-year-old Penelope Lumley, who has just graduated from the Swanburne Academy for Poor Bright Females. But her first governess job is not quite what she expected--her three pupils were found in the woods, and had been raised by wolves! This is a challenge, but Penelope is not willing to back down. She meets it head-on, and the results are humorous, to say the least.

Great Story! submitted by Crafty on July 2, 2015, 6:27pm This is a great read-aloud for a family with multiple ages listening. The language has a wonderful rhythm!

The story is great fun! After reading this we needed to check out a book of Longfellow poems!

an awesome and most twisting story submitted by AJ Chen on June 26, 2016, 3:43pm Ms. Penelope goes to a great risk of taking care of the children. So many mysteries!

Hilarious read! submitted by barbara kibler on June 15, 2018, 12:54pm I think this book is AWESOME (and I know several people who share that opinion)! A fun story, great characters, and intriguing mysteries make The Mysterious Howling come alive. Note: I haven't listened to the audiobook, but I've heard it's a fantastic performance!

loved it submitted by O'Eily on August 2, 2019, 2:32pm I think the story was great, along with the drawings.

Serendipitous find submitted by Diananana on July 14, 2022, 3:53pm I discovered this series while reviewing reviews for the Summer Game. Mysteries and humor abound. It is a fun summer read for kids and adults. Many parts had me laughing out loud.
