love this submitted by laurenalysse on August 12, 2019, 11:09am loved this book. it does draw quite heavily on goodnight moon, but is very entertaining with good rhymes and funny concepts ("publish!").

Great for academics submitted by crp on August 29, 2019, 12:30am Great for academics

Great gift for grad students submitted by FordAlpha on August 22, 2023, 9:43pm Not so great as a bedtime read-aloud for kids. The physics student toiling away at thesis research will surely appreciate the grumpy old professor yelling "publish", but kids will just go "huh?" at the voltmeter, ammeter, and tanks of liquid nitrogen and compressed air that populate this Great Green Room. I'm a grad-school survivor myself, and I enjoyed this clever parody, but my kids were distinctly unimpressed. If you love a scientist, go ahead and wrap this up for their birthday, perhaps with a volume of Jorge Cham's PhD comics or something by Randall Munroe; but don't expect it to become the kiddos' new fave at bedtime.
