Why am I reading this book? submitted by jrhein on July 27, 2023, 9:16pm Perhaps this book simply doesn't belong in the picture book section, where my 2-year-old granddaughter found it. It was not at all engaging to her—or me—although I appreciate the wonderful diversity of people in the illustrations. I think this book would work better if written at perhaps kindergarten or first-grade level and targeted toward school-age children rather than being presented as a picture book for very young children.
