One of my favorite canning books! submitted by eileenw on July 16, 2021, 7:04pm Of all the canning, fermenting, and jam making books I've used over the years, this one remains one of my favorites. The recipes are classic and taste the way you expect when you make them. In fact, this is one of my favorite bread and butter pickles recipes (I just added a little garlic). And the layout is clear and easy to read, the pictures are beautiful and enticing. And most recipes include specific water-bath canning instructions at the end of the recipe. Everything is branded with Ball products, but they note that you can substitute other brands of pickling salt, etc.
