Made me a better baker submitted by bec on July 12, 2019, 7:53am This is a really comprehensive guide to baking- all kinds of baking, desserts, breads, whole bread-y meals, etc. Emberling and Carollo teach you about different flours, helpful techniques, and share a really amazing number of recipes. Do yourself a favor and make the pecan pie!

A nice cookbook submitted by dntanzer on August 29, 2019, 8:18am This is a great selection for baking fans and Zingermans fans. It has some great recipes and explanations. And it comes from a wonderful local restaurant!

LOVELY submitted by kittenkat101 on June 22, 2020, 11:21pm I've tried a number of recipes from this book (I ended up purchasing it after checking it out once, because I wanted a copy to keep!). They have all been DELICIOUS. This is more than a cookbook-it tells you the history of the dish and how it has been incorporated at Zingermans over the years. However, this is not a beginners cookbook. The recipes can be complex, but super fun to try out!

Full of sweet treats submitted by A2AE on July 27, 2020, 5:58am This is a wonderful resource from a beloved A2 institution. My favorite recipes are for ginger jump ups, big o cookies, and their coffee cakes. This makes a great gift for bakers in your life, too.

I ended up buying the book and sticking mostly with the sweet recipes - it took me several years to even notice the pizza dough recipe but now it's the thing I flip to the most!
