fun to use submitted by camelsamba on June 29, 2013, 8:59pm We own a set of these, and they are fun to use. However, we can never get ours to sound as good as the demo, and definitely not as good as the person who made an entire CD with boomwhackers! (Whack Tracks) Maybe that person has a complete 2 octave set??

More melodic than banging on pots and pans! submitted by valerieclaires on August 30, 2014, 9:29pm If you have a percussion-loving child, this is a fun one to bring home. They definitely sound a lot better when banged around than pots, pans, books, or furniture children might already be banging on, plus it is a sneaky way to add some musical education to playtime.. We had a great time trying to play some simple songs, and the included booklet is a fun place to start when learning to play. Works great either with the included mallets or by tapping (or boomwhacking!) them on the ground or other surfaces. We will be checking these out again!

open ended play submitted by Suzame on July 20, 2015, 12:07pm My kids 1 and 3 enjoyed these so much we bought a set. The music quality isn't very loud or great, but they are the age for wacking things. The tubes have been used as pipes, matchbox car tunnels, lightsabers, ect. Its a fun open ended toy. (The toys are not completely, but reasonably harmless as weapons.)

neat! submitted by smgop on August 16, 2015, 7:52pm Would be awesome for a classroom!

Bang! Bang! Bang! On the door, baby submitted by willow on June 26, 2016, 7:20pm Despite the availability of a song booklet, these are not very melodic. They are a step up from banging on a paper towel tube. However, they have none of the ear splitting high notes or buzzing of the electric musical instruments, and no battery or cord, and the colors are pretty. Mallets can be dangerous as well. Watch your eyes.

Boomwhackers look great but... submitted by Rumia on July 29, 2016, 8:35am Colorful, really exciting to look at but the kids got bored with them after about 15 min. Sound they make is not that great.

fun to use submitted by rjsjwilliams on August 16, 2016, 3:25pm This is fun to use for younger children, but the sound isn't the greatest as attested to by the people above.

Fun for Youngin's submitted by aynsley on July 4, 2018, 5:38pm Fun percussion instrument with a small amount of tone. Nice labeling of sizes/colors with letter note and solfeg reference. Can use mallets or just hit two colored tubes together.

So fun! submitted by Aveliney on July 9, 2018, 4:13pm The best for working with kids. They can just free play and explore or you can do lots of fun activities.

Weaponizable submitted by FordAlpha on July 18, 2018, 9:19pm If your kids are like mine, the Boomwhackers may unfortunately end up booming and whacking against the bearer's sibling(s). With proper supervision, they can be fun to play with in the intended manner.

Music or Noise? submitted by msarah on August 26, 2018, 12:20pm Boomwhackers was a fun, loud instrument for me. I enjoyed playing songs on them.

Love to play songs on this submitted by JY 2005 on September 1, 2018, 12:01am I love to play songs I know on this because it sounds different.

Fun times submitted by katiekipp on June 20, 2019, 11:42am So much to play with!

Boomwhackers submitted by c_zhang on June 26, 2019, 7:56pm Fun to annoy my siblings with, and fun to mess around with.

Boomwhakers submitted by Varshini on July 3, 2019, 1:25pm Be careful with this one if you have small children. My brother decided to turn this into a weapon against my sister. Fun instrument otherwise!

Music submitted by Whitetnchina on July 22, 2020, 10:04am My kids had so much fun playing these!

Great Toy to check out submitted by jibkidder on June 16, 2022, 8:19am Boomwhackers are a fun musical tool, but when you own them, there is an emphasis on the WHACKING - kids mostly just smack each other in the head. Borrowing them for a select time can help them be used as something other than a weapon.

boom whackers submitted by tisaallen on June 17, 2022, 11:41am They make a boom when you whack them.

A great musical tool! submitted by ValerieL on June 24, 2022, 1:54pm These colored tubes with rubber mallets are great fun! You can play simple songs, the scale, try them on different surfaces to see how the sound varies, etc. Yes, there is the inevitable hitting the sibling on the head with them, but they have a lot more purpose and fun besides just that! I borrowed them for my niece and nephew and they just love them!

i love it submitted by K.O on July 9, 2022, 4:54pm i use this at school!

Love at school and home submitted by trina05 on July 29, 2023, 11:46pm Percussion and bright colors is a fantastic combination
