This thing is awesome submitted by frappysnail on January 26, 2015, 11:09pm I stumbled upon this during a random stop at the main library and brought it home. I was always that guy "the browser" at the music/piano/electronics store who would annoy the sales staff by hammering on the synthesizers, not knowing what he was doing but liking the sound. So of course I picked it up. After a few minutes of playing around I initially wasn't that impressed, but I didn't give up. I went on youtube, looked at a few longish reviews and was quickly amazed at the variety of sounds some people were able to squeeze out. After having learned a bit more from the reviews on what all the little knobs and patches did (dangerous knowledge since I have always had a soft spot for electronic sound + I have an addictive streak...) I was able to control the sound generation, get the sounds and presets the way I like and was making unique, delicious, rich, and flat out amazing sounds. The filter seems to be the main key - having a truly analog filter that is allowed to feedback 'naturally' is what makes the notes stand out from the ordinary stuff you can get out of a software synth (that dangerous knowledge I mentioned... leaking into more free time spent on sounds...). Though I didn't get to it, you can also plug this thing into some other sound generator (guitar, piano, microphone, electric oboe....) and use the filter and some of the other goodies to distort/filter how you like! My only regret was that this (initially) a little daunting, educational (learn more than the average initiate should know about generating sound) little beastie and me had to part ways...
In short - If you are somewhat interested in music, or sound synthesis, and want something to immediately dive into sound generation with, this thing is a great path to the rabbit hole.

I highly recommend.

Awesome submitted by Murtasma on September 18, 2017, 8:12am I loved playing with this synth. Super easy to get deep fat bass out of. The patching is also really cool as well. I plan on buying this sometime after using it.

Great little synth submitted by xinniw on August 1, 2018, 8:01pm Really nice sounding little semi modular analog synthesizer. With enough practice you can make great bass patches, pads, leads, and even drums. Great first synthesizer experience as the layout is intuitive and all controls are dedicated. You will learn what the oscillator does versus the filter, and the effects of many kinds of modulation.

Great for recording and can be triggered via midi.
