Great light for DJ and theatrical settings! | CHAUVET DJ Slimpack Q12 RGBA submitted by tate zeleznik on June 18, 2018, 7:59pm This is a great checkout! It includes 4 lights, and their power cords! These lights are great for DJ settings, with automatic settings, master/slave, and programmed settings. These lights are also great for theatrical settings because they are a color-mixing wash light. I recently used them for a show where I hooked them up to my light board using DMX, and used the 4-Channels (Red, Green, Blue, Warm White/yellow) to make the stage shine colors that are not possible with other lights. You can even put them all on the same channels or sub masters to make them all be the same color at the same time. The sound (Snd) feature on these lights is great for DJs because it makes automatic patterns of colors pulsing to the music! This is a great thing to check out if you are a DJ, a theatrical lighting designer, or just someone who wants to have fun!!

Fun kids light demo submitted by bfields on June 16, 2020, 7:57pm Overkill for the purpose, but: I used this with some 3rd graders to demonstrate color mixing: set one to red, one to blue, and one to green, and with some careful arrangement and a white surface you can see red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, magenta, and white, and explain why each part of the sheet is a given color. And then you can out them in sound mode and let the kids dance around a while....
