COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Increasingly tough to watch submitted by cherylo on August 10, 2013, 8:51pm Like the proverbial frog in the soup pot, the heat on the viewer is turned up gradually as this futuristic thriller proceeds. Some of the sound design and video techniques very effectively simulate disorientation, which may turn off some viewers. The effects are dazzling and seamless; the play of light and dark portentous; and the emotional ride very tough, at least for me. I definitely don't recommend it for solo late-night viewing when home alone or a difficult night may follow.
Great film that drops off in the middle submitted by asopijw65 on August 13, 2014, 9:45pm I want to love this movie. It starts out great, and the music is AMAZING. I still listen to the theme and it's been awhile since I've seen this. Anyways, the movie starts out great and has a great premise, but towards the middle it starts to fall flat and by the end, I almost was waiting for it to end. Either way I still enjoyed the movie and recommend it if not for the soundtrack alone.
Starts well... but submitted by leenajong on August 16, 2015, 7:21pm Previous reviews are spot on.
Sunshine 2007 submitted by lstorc on July 28, 2019, 12:01pm Sunshine 2007 is boring, but makes for good background noise when trying to get things that require your attention done.
Okay, but Confusing submitted by Maria Maguire on July 8, 2020, 1:33am The premise is a little ridiculous (let's shoot a bomb into the sun to restart it!) but movie definitely isn't goofy. I did enjoy the movie, and thought there were interesting characters who truly were willing to sacrifice everything to complete their mission. But, the movie was a little confusing at parts - enough so that it threw me off and made parts of the movie hard to enjoy. I still enjoyed it, but thought it could have been a tad more clear.

Great story for the first 80% but then it goes for the hackneyed “high noon” Hollywood showdown. The thing is, despite dropping the ball, I still liked the movie.
Oh Danny Boy!
