crappy POS, does NOT belong to the.. 1000 best movies ever, Morons at IMDC!!! It's UNWATCHABLE. submitted by Tassos on December 14, 2021, 6:43pm I may have seen this garbage long time ago, but when I tried to see it again, it was IMPOSSIBLY BAD, I skipped a scene or two, the same crap continued, AND GOD AWFUL music, so I gave up on it quick.

THIS POS does NOT belong to the best 1000 movies ever, you MORONS at IMDC that put it there! Wasting my time!

26 years later, it's still a good movie submitted by KimB on June 16, 2022, 11:32pm In 1996, this was my favorite movie. In 2022, after watching it for the first time in 15 years, it's still a decent movie. Not all of it aged well, but it's still got some unique plot twists and an interesting story.

Umm NO Thank You submitted by bhabay18 on June 17, 2024, 11:08am This movie did not age well.

Lesbian Classic submitted by gbrandol on June 29, 2025, 7:04am And not just a good lesbian movie, also a good Chicago movie AND mafia movie! Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon are incandescent, the plot and especially narrative method is genius, and the simple, almost play-like sets help focus attention on the action.

bound submitted by qmomo on July 7, 2025, 11:17pm i feel like this mostly gets brought up as a great lesbian movie, which it IS and gina gershon and jennifer tilly's relationship is portrayed beautifully, but it also deserves to be talked about more as one of the best crime thrillers of the 90s. it's a hugely entertaining twisty neo-noir bolstered by a career best performance from joe pantoliano, who is SO funny in this. it's just a really, really fun movie to watch. i'd kind of like to visit the alternate universe where the wachowski sisters' follow up to this wasn't the matrix, not because i don't like the matrix but just out of curiosity to see what else they'd concoct when working on a smaller scale like this. it's such a confident and ambitious first feature that it's not totally surprising they took such a huge swing with their sophomore outing, though.

Great debut feature. submitted by brooksza on August 6, 2025, 11:31am What a rock solid stylized and sexy thriller. The story twists in ways I never expected and there were a number of super suspenseful scenes. The movie kept getting better as it was going. I don't feel like I think of the Wachowskis as making suspenseful movies, but maybe they should. Their debut reminds me a lot of what I like in Blood Simple. All three leads work great in their roles and it was so fun to see Joey Pants in this featured performance.

So much blood red and bright whites. Great use of Chekhov's thin walls.
