COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Precursor to Downton submitted by gardenfaerie on August 18, 2017, 7:30pm Looong before there was Downton Abbey (or Berkeley Square or The Grand or...), there was Upstairs, Downstairs, following the lives of a rich family and their staff in an upscale area of London around the time of the first world war. Classic tale of the haves and have nots in a time of significant change. Filmed in the early 70s, the series stands the test of time, even though the actors do look a bit 70s (despite the era in which it is set).
