Good submitted by ferielp on August 23, 2017, 9:51am Being an international student, this really conveyed the homesickness a young adult feels with trying to find themselves while being transplanted to an unfamiliar place.

Great submitted by mamtavj on August 11, 2020, 9:54am Great movie about the story of the Irish immigrants

It's really Saoirse Ronan's movie. submitted by sVfGI7Glt2pz7GZgVB90 on August 15, 2020, 10:58pm Quite an uncomplicated tale of a rural girl in County Wexford in Ireland who moves to New York in the 1950s because there is no hope of a job or a decent life for her at home. The actors have a great script to work with.

Irish history brought to life submitted by yufamily on August 6, 2021, 9:13pm Informative and moving

Meh. But good. submitted by robinmariepeterson on July 27, 2023, 8:26pm Would have liked a more complex picture of Brooklyn and its diversity, but for the limited scope of this story it is well told and well acted.
