Incredible submitted by Daniel Saltzman on February 16, 2010, 11:03am Fantasia, in many ways, was Walt Disney's masterpiece. A perfect blend of music and animation, the stories contained on this disc will stick in your mind for the rest of your life. Appropriate for all ages, though younger children should watch with a family member.

Incredible submitted by kelleyc on August 19, 2016, 9:47am Definitely a masterpiece. What an amazing thing to watch.

Unique animated feature submitted by FordAlpha on July 30, 2018, 1:23pm This pet project of Walt Disney is a unique animated feature in that it doesn't have a unifying plot. It's a series of short films that interpret classical concert pieces through animation. Some of the shorts have clear, kid-friendly plots, especially "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", probably the best known part of "Fantasia". Others don't really have a plot and are more abstract; some are downright confusing and frightening for kids.

Wonderful submitted by lstorc on August 27, 2018, 3:39pm This is a uniquely satisfying cinematic experience! It's entertaining no matter what age you are.

Fantasia submitted by crp on August 6, 2019, 7:00pm Classic Disney; love this

A Classic submitted by aynsley on August 11, 2019, 11:23pm I have loved this since I was a kid. I love seeing my daughter transfixed while watching only music (no dialogue) tell a story fleshed out by beautiful animation. Some clips are too scary for very young children, but each animated short stands alone. So it’s easy to allow just a 15 minute viewing of whichever pieces are appropriate for your child (or yourself).

Unique and memorable submitted by Princess Cimorene on August 9, 2020, 4:13pm I recently rewatched this and was shocked to realize how much impact the imagery had on me as a kid. The colors and concepts have made regular appearances in my dreams for my whole life and the mental connection I have between color and sound (and movement) is so clearly represented in this film.

Love It submitted by daniellawrencelupton on August 24, 2020, 6:53pm I love Beethoven's Ninth and Zeus.

old is gold submitted by VanCancue on August 23, 2021, 8:41pm I like this fantasia better then the new one.

I Recommend This submitted by jibkidder on June 14, 2022, 9:55pm To watch with any 5-7 year old.

Great submitted by TLW1998 on June 24, 2022, 12:06am I love Mickey Mouse

Classic Disney submitted by sdunav on August 5, 2024, 4:36pm Great blend of animation and classical music, although I never felt like the different pieces really went together. Kids today might not appreciate it as much as adults (or children in the past) did, but it's worth viewing (with adult supervision - parts of it can be surprisingly scary for littler kids!).
