The lion, the witch and the wardrobe: When young Second World War evacuee Lucy Pevensie hides in an old wardrobe during a game of hide and seek, she finds herself transported to the magical land of Narnia, locked in eternal winter by the evil White Witch. Her siblings do not believe her when she tells them of this strange new world, but they are soon in Narnia themselves, fighting alongside the noble lion Aslan to defeat the witch and her mighty army.
Prince Caspian: Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are waiting on the tube to return to school, when they are whisked off to a gorgeous beach they soon recognize as Narnia. But this isn't the same Narnia as before -- 1,300 years have passed, the country's golden age is over, and most of their old friends are gone. Narnia is now a troubled land ruled by the Telmarines, led by evil Lord Miraz. Their mission is to help Prince Caspian, the rightful heir to Narnia's throne, regain the kingdom.
Voyage of the Dawn Treader: When Lucy and Edmund Pensive, along with their cousin Eustace, are swallowed into a painting and transported back to Narnia, they join King Caspian and a noble mouse named Reepicheep aboard the magnificent ship The Dawn Treader. The courageous voyagers travel to mysterious islands, confront mystical creatures, and reunite with the Great Lion Aslan on a mission that will determine the fate of Narnia itself!
The Silver Chair: Eustace and his friend Jill Pole are sent to Narnia to go on a search and rescue mission for the missing Prince Rilian, who is held captive in the underground kingdom of the Emerald Witch.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

A Fun Time submitted by SarahRose on May 28, 2008, 3:57pm If you love C.S. Lewis and you have a sense of humor you'll like this movie. The representations of the animals are ridiculous, but the plot stays truer to the beloved children's novel than the 2006 version with all its CGI effects.

It could've been better. submitted by abjobst on July 18, 2008, 2:27pm I think that they did a good job with the four children but the animals were awful. The 2006 The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is definatly better. I mean, susan is taller that Peter and she's supposed to be younger. And Lucy is about the same size of Edmund and not that good of an actress.

Entertaining submitted by 0liviap0pp on July 1, 2011, 6:46am The very first Narnia. The plotline stays closer to was C.S. Lewis wrote.

Great Rendition submitted by ldupuis44 on July 7, 2011, 8:10pm This is a fabulous take on the book. Not perfect, movies never will be. However, without the distraction of how crazy the producers can get with CGI, like in the 2005 version, the creators focused on plot and actors and the meat of the story that made the book so fabulous!

New submitted by fka83111 on August 18, 2011, 4:37pm Ok for me.

Beavers? submitted by kjshaffer on August 9, 2015, 11:47am I really didn't like how the beavers were obviously people. I prefer the newer adaptation.

Narnia submitted by avrogers1 on July 12, 2019, 12:50pm This is one of the renditions of the chronicals of narnia that have been brought to the screen by BBC. Its decent, but pales in comparison to the big box office hits that were made.

awesome submitted by kevinhe on July 25, 2019, 4:33pm such an awesome movie. love it.

Child-friendly adaptations of four of the books of the Chronicles of Narnia submitted by Diananana on July 25, 2023, 7:51pm I am very of fond of these adaptations, which were made for television by the BBC. They are child-friendly, the books having been written for children after all. The major motion picture series, with it big budget and amazing special effects has its place. These productions, with their simpler style, have their place, too. They feel more intimate and cozy to me, like a good storyteller weaving a tale. It is not a flaw that they don't have realistic CGI, but rather a feature. They certainly aren't as scary as the big screen series. I think Mr. and Mrs. Beaver and Mr. Tumnus were played charmingly. I enjoyed Sophie Wilcox's portrayal of stalwart Lucy.
