When the Museum of Natural History is closed for renovations, the museum pieces are moved into federal storage at the famous Smithsonian Institution. It houses the world's largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its collections. These range from the plane Amelia Earhart flew on her non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al Capone's rap sheet and mug shot to Dorothy's ruby slippers. From Fonzie's leather jacket to Archie Bunker's lounge chair. After stealing a security guard's ID badge, Larry Daley slips into the Archives of the Smithsonian, where Kahmunrah, an evil Pharaoh, comes to life with the reestablishing of The Tablet as a magical force in the museum. It brings the old exhibits and new exhibits to life, and in conflict with each other. Larry enlists the help of Amelia Earheart.
DVD, widescreen (2.35:1); Dolby Digital 5.1 surround, Dolby surround.

four star submitted by lekendrick on October 10, 2010, 12:51pm bottom of excellent, and top of above average it's big budget holly wood fare proving, because how ordered fox may always be the forth network, but is a major studio if not first amongst equal! An besides couldn't have happened better guy, Benjamin Stiller, son of Gerald? He, usually depends even more imaginative character driven comedy equivalent, a car to truck bed! Sitting up high rolls over most slap stick turns attempting appeal broader audience, and very well! Robin Williams & Owen Wilson proving can be simply happy placed on film too support!

A worthy sequel submitted by andreahubert on June 26, 2012, 12:00am Sequels are often boring or feel forced, but this story seemed a natural continuation of the first movie and was fun to watch.

Good Sequel submitted by semartin on August 26, 2012, 6:39pm Grand historic adventure, the perfect sequel for the first film.
Not as good submitted by crazypockets on July 24, 2013, 12:03pm This wasn't as good as the first one, and it did drag on a little bit. But I enjoyed the aspect of going to a different museum, namely the Smithsonian in D.C. And it was fun to see what an art museum would look like if it "came alive." It made me want to visit D.C. and especially the Smithsonian again.
Sequel submitted by Motomori on August 2, 2013, 4:12pm This wasn't as great as the first one. Less laughs and less action. If you like movies like these, then you should probably watch this, but in order to understand what's happening, watch the first one "Night at the Museum".
Fun! submitted by airgood on June 26, 2014, 12:58pm A fun movie with many great comedians and cameos. Very funny, even for older audiences.
