Free-Form Jazz submitted by Meginator on July 10, 2020, 4:58pm This album’s unusual instrumentation, featuring flute and vibraphone, sets it apart from the pack but without any solid structure the music isn’t grounded enough for me to find pleasure in it. The musicians’ superior skill level is obvious, but the whole thing sounds to me disconnected, as if it’s constantly coming apart at the seams, and I just couldn’t get into it.
