"A new edition of one of the most important and critically acclaimed Batman adventures ever, written by Frank Miller, author of THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS! In 1986, Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli produced this groundbreaking reinterpretation of the origin of Batman--who he is and how he came to be. Written shortly after THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, Miller's dystopian fable of Batman's final days, YEAR ONE set the stage for a new vision of a legendary character. This edition includes the complete graphic novel, a new introduction by writer Frank Miller and a new illustrated afterword by artist David Mazzucchelli. Completing this collection are over 40 pages of never-before-seen developmental material such as character and layout sketches, sample script pages, sketches and more that provide a glimpse into the making of this contemporary classic."-- From Amazon.

Bat classic submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on June 19, 2014, 11:13pm A classic yet alternative story for Batman's early days. Essential Bat-reading. Warren Ellis at his best. Very influential on Batman films and other properties.
Batman: Year One submitted by avrogers1 on July 17, 2018, 12:13pm The storyline was decent. I didn't care much for the art style, I would have preferred more detail and color. Overall, it was alright.
Classic Batman submitted by majean on August 16, 2018, 8:27pm If you are into Batman, you have to read this one.
Really Great submitted by SaraP on July 25, 2019, 12:18pm A fantastic mid-80s reboot. The art is amazing and the story is dark and grim. It helped kick off the bleak Batman we have come to know over the last 30 years.
