If you only listen to 1 modern R&B album, make it this one submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on June 25, 2014, 12:08am I don't usually enjoy a lot of R&B, and I wasn't enthusiastic about his smash hit single from this album, but hearing his coming-out story, watching him perform on a couple of shows, and reading some really insightful reviews of this album made me take a listen. I'm so glad I did. I enjoyed every bit of it. The lyrics are tight, if sometimes sparse. It works really well as an album, as opposed to a few singles and some filler.

He delivers some haunting songs in a variety of styles and it somehow all works together, a fairly diverse form of a concept album. His voice is hypnotizing. "Bad Religion" is an incredibly powerful song, as is the epic "Pyramids."
