A rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great chef despite his family's wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unwanted visitor in the kitchen of one of Paris' most exclusive restaurants, Remy forms an unlikely partnership with Linguini, the garbage boy, who inadvertently discovers Remy's amazing talents. They strike a deal, ultimately setting into motion a chain of extraordinary events that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down.

Fun submitted by lulumama on July 6, 2013, 7:56pm Cute movie

Good lessons submitted by crazypockets on July 13, 2013, 4:26pm This isn't my favorite Pixar, but I liked it enough. I probably would have liked it more if I were more interested in cooking, but it did give me a greater appreciation for those who are and why they love it so much. The animation is cute (on the rats...the people looked kind of weird to me). The storyline has some good messages, too.

Ratatouille submitted by SBNB on July 26, 2014, 10:10pm Great cartoon! And now because of the movie, I can spell Ratatouille right the first time.

the rat submitted by hcf on July 30, 2014, 9:17pm such a great movie for the entire family

Fun first film about cooking submitted by beeniepie on August 26, 2014, 12:59pm This is a great first film about cooking. My son helps me in the kitchen, so this is a fun movie about the joys and rewards of the kitchen.

Grand submitted by kzheng on June 17, 2015, 6:31pm I used to hate this movie but now I like it a lot, they ate really good looking food and it is in the point of a food loving rat and a mediocre cook

Favorite Disney submitted by CatalinaJohnson on July 30, 2015, 12:00pm I seriously love this movie. The animations are top notch, plus the message of reaching for your dreams is powerful. I laugh, I cry, I want to eat food every time I watch!

One of the best submitted by shosh.lenski on August 25, 2015, 9:53pm One of Pixar's all time bests. And one of the few kids movies that really is appropriate for a young kid (preschool age). There's suspense but nothing too scary or inappropriate.

Anyone can Cook submitted by veroka on June 17, 2016, 8:32pm Super fun family movie.

Ratatouille submitted by dree411 on August 5, 2016, 10:23pm This is one of my favorite children's movies.

Four Stars submitted by Avliss on July 16, 2017, 9:09pm Not my favourite Pixar movie, but still a great family film about an animal species that gets little love

Ratatouille submitted by a2sue on July 23, 2017, 11:45pm Ratatouille is great family fun!

Pixar's Take on Paris submitted by Meginator on August 10, 2017, 1:58pm Ratatouille is a charming story that hits all the right notes. The animation is fantastic and Paris, rendered beautifully and with obvious admiration, comes alive almost as an actual character in the film. The plot doesn't have too many surprises in store, but the setup is unique and offers the filmmakers plenty of opportunities to explore an unlikely friendship and the power, and limits, of passion. The characters are immediately likable and one antagonist's revelatory moment is a wonderfully sharp rendering of the power of food to unlock memories. This may not be Pixar's greatest or most iconic film, but it has a surprising amount of depth.

Great fun submitted by Team_ROX on July 23, 2018, 7:25am In had fun every time I watched. It was fun but at sometimes it was quite weird and odd.
But, it was good!

Very cute movie! submitted by lauramason89 on August 26, 2018, 11:35pm I think this movie is great for kids and adults. One of Pixar's best, in my opinion.

It's ok submitted by Mystery_Man on July 26, 2020, 6:11pm It's ok but I don't like the animation.

Ratatouille submitted by VanCancue on August 23, 2021, 8:39pm Ratatouille is my favorite. I like the specials videos at the end where we learn about black and brown mice and where they come from.

Best rat movie submitted by Bethybeth07 on August 4, 2022, 9:20am In the world of movies about rats that learn to control people by pulling their hair, this one is the best.

superb film submitted by zaraz on August 5, 2022, 11:42pm one of my favorite movies ever, I love this movie so much I recently wrote a college paper on it lol. from the story and the themes to the soundtrack and the voice performances, this film is stellar. one of the best Disney/Pixar films to date!

Great submitted by keldan315 on July 29, 2023, 7:12pm A family favorite that celebrates following your dreams regardless of your origin.

Didn't hold interest for 4 and 6 year old submitted by teri on August 14, 2023, 8:13am Nice movie - but there was too much talking for the young ones. The only parts their held their attention were the fast-paced chase scenes. Maybe in a few more years they might enjoy it.
