Ben Hatke is the best submitted by jmb.mlis on August 11, 2019, 9:45pm Zita is a fun protagonist and I love Ben Hatke's art, so you can't go wrong with this series. It makes for a great read aloud together with a child, as well.
love submitted by Family_Coffman on August 22, 2019, 8:07pm I love it!!!
A heroine's heroine! submitted by FordAlpha on August 22, 2019, 10:42pm I like Ben Hatke's work well enough, but my kids love it! We've checked out all of the "Zita the Spacegirl" books multiple times. Currently, my 7-year-old daughter is re-reading them for the umpteenth time. The story is imaginative and never too scary, and the cast of characters is large but not confusing. There's plenty of humor and great wordplay. Zita herself is a terrific heroine, plucky and indomitable but far from infallible, and she has to face the consequences of her decisions for good or ill. This second installment of her story explores the difference between true heroism vs. fame/celebrity.
Love love love! submitted by katiekipp on July 2, 2020, 11:11am 3 yo, 5 yo and adults loved this book!
Good Trilogy submitted by kathscot on July 17, 2021, 12:10pm More interesting characters. Ben Hatke's imagination and artwork are awesome!
