"Lovable ne'er-do-well Delilah Dirk is an Indiana Jones for the 19th century. She has traveled to Japan, Indonesia, France, and even the New World. Using the skills she's picked up on the way, Delilah's adventures continue as she plots to rob a rich and corrupt Sultan in Constantinople. With the aid of her flying boat and her newfound friend, Selim, she evades the Sultan's guards, leaves angry pirates in the dust, and fights her way through the countryside. For Delilah, one adventure leads to the next in this thrilling and funny installment in her exciting life" -- from publisher's web site.

More Delilah Dirk, Please! submitted by sdunav on June 16, 2014, 8:47pm Fun graphic novel set in 1809. I loved Selim, the peace-loving tea-making Janissary lieutenant. I'm not sure it what age this was written for - but it's ok for ages 8-10+ at least - (some bad guys get swords stuck through them). Lots of action, Delilah is like an historic female Indiana Jones. Just incredibly gorgeous art-work, fascinating characters. I would like a little more in terms of plot, but it's still wonderful. And more will be coming out!
Good graphic novel submitted by sfrantom on July 26, 2016, 10:26am The first graphic novel I've read, and it hooked me with the adventurous female lead. It took awhile to get into the rhythm of the story, and while the plot isn't as developed as I'd like, I'm sure it's great for younger readers! Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
What a Blast! submitted by suttonp on June 14, 2024, 10:21am This graphic novel surprised me with a great premise, interesting characters, but most of all the beautiful artwork and coloring. Highly recommend!!!
