Lorde brings more of her trademark vocal styles and twisty lyrics to this album, which feels like a more refined version of her debut. The album has surprising depth, considering how young Lorde still is, and a remarkably coherent artistic vision. Lorde absolutely hits it out of the park here.

Additionally, this earlier work of producer Jack Antonoff really shines with Ella’s (Lorde’s) vocals/writings. Cannot recommend it enough!!
