Shifting tone submitted by jonathancvielmetti on July 20, 2020, 12:25am Strange Trails manages to switch between upbeat indie rock with strong vocals to something melancholy and drenched with sadness. Each track sounds great, but it seems to switch between these themes each time, and I can't tell whether this was an intentional choice or not. One track in particular, Fool for Love, breaks the trend by having both an energetic beat while the lyrics tell a completely different message. This album feels almost out of order, with songs having strong connections to each other being at the opposite ends of the album.
