Delightful submitted by Enzy on July 12, 2012, 10:56am This book had been on my "to read" list ever since it came out. I heard so much about it from friends and multiple booklists and was so excited when I got the email saying it was ready for me to pick up. You can imagine my dissapointment when I only reached chapter 5 before I had to return it. Immediately after dropping it off at the library for the next anxious reader, I put the audiobook on hold in the hopes that it would get to me sooner. I was so excited when I saw that the audiobook was read by Jim Dale (the amazing reader of the Harry Potter audiobooks). Audiobooks are incredibly nostolgic for me and there is nothing as enjoyable as a well read story and The Night Circus is definitely well read.

The story kept me transfixed until the very end. The mystery and the magical atmosphere of the circus was enthralling and the audiobook is definitely worth listening to. The story is painted beautifully to begin with, and the narration added a lot of magic. It truly transported me to the book's fictional world and I will listen to it again.

asking submitted by nicenora2371 on July 12, 2013, 5:42pm does this story talk about a circus

Imaginative and brilliant submitted by shannonnauts on June 14, 2015, 11:12am I absolutely loved this audiobook! The story was compelling, characters nicely developed and identifiable, and descriptions of the circus pushed the boundaries of creativity and imagination. Beautifully written, captivating imagery, brilliantly narrated.

Fantasy submitted by Judeyblu on July 31, 2015, 7:47am This has been suggested to me so many times I finally read it.
The rivalry between two illusionists is at the heart of the mysterious Night Circus.
Well-developed characters keep you engaged.

You'll be driving around the block for hours... submitted by LibraryLo on June 28, 2016, 10:28am I listened to this book during my daily commutes and was so in love that I was taking the long way home and sitting in my driveway until my neighbors got suspicious. Jim Dale does an excellent job of narrating, keeping the voices distinct, but not obnoxious.

The story itself is mystical, thrilling, and painstakingly romantic. The forced battle between two young magicians keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the intricate details keep you enthralled to the end.

Absolutely enchanting submitted by cekandera on August 12, 2017, 1:39pm View my full review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1465594112?book_show_action=false

This was the first audio book I'd listened to and it's set the standards very high. Jim Dale's performance is engaging and rich. The way he voices all the characters is unique, but not distracting. His voice is as melodic and captivating as the story he's telling.

Morgenstern's story is captivating and compelling. Her all-encompassing prose, well-developed characters, and fantastic world-building make up a wonderful story that stayed with me long after finishing.

Absolutely beautiful submitted by majean on August 16, 2018, 8:38pm I love this book! The audiobook is excellent.

Casts a spell submitted by saturn on July 4, 2019, 12:34pm This is a really good audio book. Jim Dale is always a great narrator and this audio book just sucks you in. The circus is so richly described that it really comes alive. I honestly don't know if I would have enjoyed this as much if I read it as a book, but I loved listening to it.

The Night Circus submitted by lstorc on July 7, 2019, 11:20pm The plot, characters, narration, and pacing are superb! Strong recommendation

Amazing narrator submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on June 18, 2021, 10:11pm I re-read or re-listen to this about once a year. The audiobook is as utterly outstanding as the written novel is. However you engage this book, be sure to do so. (My review of the content is listed under the book. I simply love the narration as well, so had to leave a separate review for that.)

Jim Dale is Superb (And So is the Story!) submitted by pjaynes on July 15, 2023, 1:12pm Jim Dale is the perfect narrator for this book. His voice matches the whimsy, mystery, and sometimes danger of Morgenstern's novel, which is no surprise if you're a fan of his other work, especially the tv show Pushing Daisies. The story itself has a similar tone to that show, albeit a different setting. It's a fantastic fairytale with awe-inducing magic and sweeping romance.
