When the heroic princess Amira rescues the kind-hearted princess Sadie from her tower prison, neither expects to find a true friend in the bargain. Yet as they adventure across the kingdom, they discover that they bring out the very best in the other person. They'll need to join forces and use all the know-how, kindness, and bravery they have in order to defeat their greatest foe yet: a jealous sorceress with a dire grudge against Sadie. Join Sadie and Amira, two very different princesses with very different strengths, on their journey to figure out what happily ever after really means and how they can find it with each other.

amazing, incredible, wonderful little story submitted by queenbunny on July 21, 2017, 6:46pm My only complaint is it's far too short. The art is super, super cute. The story is super cute. A great story about strong ladies, love and adventure. Appropriate for all ages. I think I may purchase my own copy to keep.
Sweet and appropriate for all ages

I would label this as appropriate for all ages and am kind of puzzled to see copies shelved as 'Teen' because I'd have put the target age much, much lower. I'd have read it to my daughter when she was in pre-school.
Spoilers below (but only if you think a 53 page graphic novel I consider appropriate for a four year old will have a lot of twists and surprises).
This is a graphic novel about two princesses meeting, helping each other out, falling in love, and getting married. The story's sweet and doesn't have a lot of suspense/tension or twists. Nothing scary happens, and the two ladies don't have to deal with hostility to their relationship based on them both being women.
There is an implied gap between when they meet and when they marry that isn't detailed in the book. The gap makes sense in context because they're pretty young when they meet. That gap makes it clear that they're getting married because they really want to rather than because that's what princesses do at the end of the story.
A short but gorgeous story! submitted by dntanzer on August 10, 2018, 9:16am The art is this book is stunning. It follows two princesses who rescue each other and fall in love. While the story is short, it's a beautiful story with wonderful representation for readers of all ages.

Princess Princess Ever After
submitted by trina05 on July 9, 2023, 9:43am
Great comic for kiddos especially those who love princesses, big boned dragons and unicorns with a cookie addiction! Love that the story involves two princess rescuing each other by supporting each other in standing up to bullies. They also happen to get married, but that's also after they grow into their adulthood and their goals from themselves. Also contains the appropriate use of the word...butthead!
I'd love to read more about Sadie and Amira
A really great story for younger and older kids and of course adults submitted by Margaret on July 28, 2023, 2:04pm Katie O’Neill (now known as Kay O’Neill) has always fascinated me with her storylines of the revolve around strong, female protagonists. This was a beautiful story about two princesses not only save each other but fall in love. I’ve always loved the art style in her stories. It’s easy on the eyes, and very colorful, not over the top and very gentle. If you’re looking for a fun fantasy romp about two powerful female protagonists and a lot of colorful characters. Please do check the story out. It’s worth your time.
Cute submitted by Cherie on July 5, 2024, 12:29pm This is a really cute, fun, and uplifting read about how we don't always have to meet familial expectations, and can pursue our own paths and dreams. It shows how how friends can see things in us that we can't, and how they can help improve our self-esteem. I also love how it is gender-inclusive and body positive.
