"The first nine months of Donald Trump's term were stormy, outrageous--and absolutely mesmerizing. Now, thanks to his deep access to the West Wing, bestselling author Michael Wolff tells the riveting story of how Trump launched a tenure as volatile and fiery as the man himself. In this explosive book, Wolff provides a wealth of new details about the chaos in the Oval Office." -- Provided by publisher.

Useful context submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on July 21, 2018, 10:16am This was... interesting. I've never bought or read a politically "hot" book right when it came out, but my 14 year old son *absolutely* wanted us to have it so he could read it, and how could I say no to my kid wanting to be politically engaged?

I found Wolff's writing to be an odd combination of very accessible... he does a great job of explaining who all the players are and giving them context, for example... and completely obtuse... I consider myself quite well read and was regularly encountering vocabulary words that I'd never seen. Wolff paints a picture that feels completely believable to me, in that it sufficiently matches stories and leaks coming out of the White House. It's fascinating to get a more inside view. He said in an interview that he was able to talk to everyone, because no one seemed to be in charge enough to tell him to leave. That makes for a wild ride. As a member of this democracy, I'm invested in what's going on in the halls and offices of our leaders, and this was useful for context.

Fire and Fury submitted by SBNB on August 8, 2018, 8:40pm This book was sometimes interesting and sometimes boring. I could have done without the pages on Steve Bannon's history and the droning on and on about Kushner's failing newspaper.

is it worthy to read it submitted by areel on August 31, 2018, 11:25am hum
