"It isn't paranoia if it's really happening ... Anna Fox lives alone -- a recluse in her New York City home, drinking too much wine, watching old movies ... and spying on her neighbors. Then the Russells move next door: a father, a mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna sees something she shouldn't, her world begins to crumble -- and its shocking secrets are laid bare. What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this gripping Hitchcockian thriller, no one and nothing are what they seem."-- Provided by publisher.

thrilling submitted by johnbiancke on June 16, 2018, 9:41am One of the best phycological thrillers I've read. Love how the author incorporates old B&W movies into the plot.
Thrillin... submitted by MadMonkeyZ on June 23, 2018, 2:55pm The Woman in the Window is a seductive and unpredictable novel about an agoraphobic woman with a tricky past who witnesses a murder. Or does she? With twists that will have you gasping out loud, this Hitchcockian noir thriller is the book to read if you’ve been waiting (too long) for the next Gone Girl.
Slow start but thrilling towards the end submitted by apncksr on June 25, 2018, 11:28am The story starts off pretty slow. The first half of the story builds up the characters. Once the stage is set, the story gets very intriguing pretty quickly. The author hides clues throughout the story about the direction of the plot yet some may miss it. The short chapters keep you hooked and makes it hard to put the book down. A very good read if you make it past the first few chapters.
Aware of itself submitted by llwalsh on July 8, 2018, 2:18pm As soon as you start to think it is eerily similar to Read Window, it gives a nod to itself. It is aware of the genre it fits into and isn't afraid to admit it.
Psychological thriller submitted by ConnorM on July 17, 2018, 5:35pm Beginning of the book seemed slow, but it still kept me drawn in. It left me wondering what is real and what is not throughout the whole book. It was an excellent book with a lot of twist and turns throughout it!
Predictable, Easy Read submitted by dntanzer on August 10, 2018, 12:27pm I know a lot of people who really enjoyed this book, but personally I found it a bit boring and predictable. I didn't care much for any of the characters. That said, the writing flowed well, which made it easy to get through.
great thriller submitted by laurenalysse on August 17, 2018, 11:02am a great thriller that I had a hard time putting down! compelling story, although I did see the twist coming a little early on. Although I did not anticipate another twist at the end! def. worth a read!
What a thrilling ride!

This story did a really good job of writing from the perspective of a woman who was drunk and taking various hallucinogenic medicine. Most of the plot twists in the story were pretty straight forward and predictable even though I didn't see the last one at the ending. I personally felt like the story would have been a lot more engaging if the beginning was 100 pages shorter. However, this book is definitely worth reading if you are looking for a good fast-paced psychological thriller.
Overall rating: 4 / 5 Stars
Good read submitted by jmh1982 on July 29, 2019, 4:05pm A good read for those who like books, such as Gone Girl
Great, even if I suspected from the beginning submitted by ginarae3 on August 22, 2019, 10:59am While this book was predictable, it did keep me second guessing myself, or trying to figure out how all the pieces would fit to make it happen the way I thought. Don't miss this one if you like suspense and thrillers. It will keep you on your toes. Is the narrator reliable? What really happened? What is real and what is all a delusion?
solid thriller submitted by AGAPHD on July 5, 2020, 8:02pm not groundbreaking, but definitely entertaining.

Thoroughly enjoyed submitted by pratibhamahesh on July 24, 2023, 7:32pm I missed reading this book until now. Even though the plot progresses slowly, I liked the sub plots and twists. The author is very detailed. I loved the ending:)
Well Done Thriller submitted by JJM.Deucher on August 14, 2023, 7:22am A gripping psychological thriller. These are my "beach reads". Seems people are split on if it was "predictable" or not, but either way it is a must read if you like the genre. The movie is totally skippable, however.
