COMMUNITY REVIEWS

One of pixar's best movies! submitted by VanCancue on June 18, 2018, 1:46pm This movie was beautiful. Full of passion and color! You simply can't fight back the tears. Very moving!

Coco Review submitted by dj1104 on June 20, 2018, 2:32pm This movie was amazing! It's magnificent art and animation once again shows what pixar can do and it's story catches the watcher very quickly, along with it's characters.

Really enjoyable submitted by cbrewster on July 5, 2018, 8:52pm We really liked this movie. We bought it right away and have definitely watched it more than a few times.

Pixar at Its Best submitted by Meginator on July 11, 2018, 10:37pm This film is a pitch-perfect example of everything that Pixar does so well, from its beautiful animation and design to its themes of love, family, and the power of music. The story is closely tied to its Mexican influences, giving it a unique style and color and, importantly, increasing representation in popular American films, but is relevant to viewers from any cultural background. The film is by turns hilarious and moving, always grounded by its emotional depth, even in its sillier moments, and the songs are catchy and evocative. Pixar may have surpassed itself with this film, and that's a very high bar indeed.

Excellent movie submitted by mcreader on July 17, 2018, 1:06pm Destined to be a classic. It is a multi-faceted film dealing with issues such as: family, dreams, culture, etc.. It is both entertaining and educational. The story is well-written. It is very colorful and has good characters. A movie for all ages! Enjoy.

Stunning and heartfelt submitted by FordAlpha on July 20, 2018, 9:54pm This is easily one of Pixar's best ever films. Though the visuals are at times broadly expansive, overwhelming with color and light and movement, the story never loses its intimacy and heart. Plus, my kids liked it just as much as I did. (Some Pixar films have more of an adult/kid dichotomy; for example, I consider "Inside Out" one of the best, but my kids are less interested; they want to watch "Cars 2" over and over, while I can't even sit through the wretched thing.)

A great one! submitted by Bookeepers on July 24, 2018, 4:18pm I like this movie more than my kids. Wonderful cultural representation. Good music also!

Coco submitted by ashflowtuff on July 24, 2018, 7:42pm My kids and I all really enjoyed this movie. Really great to watch together as a family.

Great submitted by anacoluthon on July 27, 2018, 2:48pm This was such a beautiful and heartwarming movie.

Love it but it's a bit scary! submitted by jessicampace on August 1, 2018, 10:02am My kids age 3 & 5 are both a little scared of the thematic elements of this movie, but the adults in the house love it so much!

Good submitted by DL on August 1, 2018, 3:48pm Family is important in this movie and remembering them after they have died.

Coco submitted by lstorc on August 5, 2018, 10:46pm Worthwhile and heartwarming

Coco submitted by sandri on August 10, 2018, 4:31pm family is what matters most.beatiful animation and songs.

Touching! submitted by Xris on August 14, 2018, 5:13pm The end made me teary, it was so great! It shows how traditions and family are important. I only wish I knew more Spanish, so I'd understand what they were singing (or sometimes saying.) A great, heart-warming movie! I need to see it again soon! <3

Strange, but fun to watch submitted by gem on August 10, 2019, 10:52am This movie took me to strange places with unusual characters. I was surprised a few times by the helpfulness of the characters to the boy. It was a REALLY colorful movie and entertaining.

Coco submitted by Varshini on August 21, 2019, 9:43pm This movie is literally The Book Of Life but worse. I find it very overrated and not original at all. 3/5 stars.

So beautiful I cried submitted by dntanzer on August 21, 2019, 10:46pm This is a gorgeous movie. Fun for adults and kids tho it could be a little scary for young kids.

Great, bueno. submitted by Mel Ruiz on August 15, 2021, 1:58pm I like this movie, it's about music and love. Es muy bueno. It's also good for Spanish class. (Even though I'm fluent) :)
The skeletons never bugged me. ;)

Fun! submitted by Abbie D. on July 10, 2022, 5:53pm Fun movie about music and familia!

Truly beautiful submitted by Bethybeth07 on August 4, 2022, 9:22am Some of my children were a little spooked by the skeleton concept, but the story is so beautiful. I cry every time, and I'm not a crier. Also, the colors and animation are perfection.
