Food and Romance and Stories and War submitted by sdunav on July 20, 2023, 11:27am A rich, evocative novel with a bit of magical realism about a woman who cooks in a Middle Eastern restaurant in "Teherangeles", CA.

The descriptions of the food, the romance, the stories, and the landscapes are very sensual, in contrast to the news from Iraq, which plays an important part in the story, which is set right before the war.

Honestly, this book has everything....sex, food, betrayal, family secrets, interesting tidbits about foreign cultures and women's different roles, politics, and more food.
