COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Fun concept submitted by ferielp on June 21, 2018, 4:48pm Aside from the A-plot of environmental doom necessitating literal downsizing, the B-plot romance was a little hard to watch. The character of Ngoc Lan Tran, a Vietnamese refugee who loses her leg below the knee in escaping to the US is powerful and kind, and didn't need her storyline to serve as the happy ending for Matt Damon's hapless, divorced Paul Safranek.

Interesting submitted by majean on July 21, 2018, 4:10pm All I can think is "Not As Advertised." I enjoyed it, but my husband did not and said, "I have no idea what I just watched, and I don't think I care." I think the film could have gone further with many of its concepts. Hong Chau's performance is wonderful.

Curious submitted by kencza on July 22, 2018, 1:10am I was curious as to where this was going as I started watching the film but was far less interested once it got there.
There are implied lessons but even those were somewhat tongue in cheek, or perhaps cheeky. In the end a little more
disappointing than uplifting. A curiosity for sure......

Not what I expected submitted by jcottey on August 17, 2020, 9:25pm I thought it was going to be a comedy. It could be a bit depressing at times, but was okay overall. It was an interesting concept: shrinking people to save the Earth's resources.
