If you are a fan of doing fresh new things, you will be pleased. It has some awesome cinematic moments, and some questionable plot devices. Critics loved it for the risks it took. Disappointing submitted by FordAlpha on August 13, 2018, 9:47pm "The Force Awakens" was great fun. "The Last Jedi" is not fun at all. Things go from bad to worse to absolutely terrible. There are lots of fast-paced action sequences: too many, in fact. The movie goes from one pointless explosion to the next with little consideration for effective storytelling. And it goes way overboard in adding new Force abilities and weapons. I really can't blame crusty old Luke Skywalker for wanting to stay well clear of the whole business.
