Existential longing at its finest submitted by mlitfin on August 8, 2023, 9:53pm If you like romance or books about sad women losing it, but also love language and want to read books with interesting sentences and word choice, this is a great pick. The protagonist's life is a mess, she goes to Venice Beach to stay in her sister's house...and then things go sideways. Melissa Broder is funny, cutting, and says so many things that are astonishingly true. The book is also extremely horny, and the sex scenes are some of the best I've ever read.
