Time Travel Junior submitted by Meginator on July 6, 2018, 11:36pm I came into this film without having read the book, and I think it hangs together pretty well despite dealing with some complex and weighty themes. The young actors are excellent and it’s hard to find fault with the adult cast as well. With high production values all around, a unique take on popular science fiction themes, and a huge heart, this film could become a classic.

A Wrinkle In Time submitted by SBNB on July 29, 2018, 1:29pm I liked the movie, but it fell way short of the book. Lots of stuff left out, lots of stuff changed. I liked this Meg but I didn't like the interpretation of Mrs. Whatsit. It also felt too quickly resolved. Not bad overall.

Wrinkle in time submitted by avrogers1 on June 19, 2019, 2:24pm Overall, I liked this movie. The cast is great and the CGI is fantastic. I have always had a bit of a hard time following these stories and this movie filled in some gaps for me, so that was great!

Beautiful modern adaptation of a childhood favorite submitted by nemiller on August 30, 2019, 1:58pm Visually stunning, brilliantly acted. A modern view at a teen and her little brother who just Don't Fit In. Mindy Kaling is fantastic as Mrs. Who.

My only complaint is: where are the twins? I know they don't feature heavily in this book, but if DuVernay plans to continue the series, I'm not sure how she's going to work around them.

The cinematography is gorgeous, and I really liked the characters of the witches a lot. Missing a few details and a few key characters, but overall is works well as a standalone.
