Based on the 2004 motion picture, Mean girls.
A cautionary tale -- It roars -- Where do you belong? -- Meet the plastics -- Stupid with love -- Apex predator -- What's wrong with me? -- Stupid with love (reprise) -- Sexy -- Someone gets hurt -- Revenge party -- Fearless -- Stop -- What's wrong with me? (reprise) -- Whose house is this? -- More is better -- Someone gets hurt (reprise) -- World burn -- I'd rather be me -- Do this thing -- I see stars.

Great if you've seen it or not!

The songs do a good job of telling the story (without giving away any spoilers) It stays pretty true to the movie, but characters actually are better developed through song! Especially Gretchen and Karen.
'Meet the Plastics' is my favorite, 'More is Better' is also great.
Does Justice to the Film submitted by Meginator on August 5, 2018, 8:28pm As a massive fan of the original film, I was hoping for the best and preparing for the worst when listening to this musical. Happily, the creative team seems to get the spirit of the story, and it translates well to musical theater. The lyrics incorporate some of the movie's best jokes, and the narrative arc is clear without the benefit of the full production's dialogue, even if some of the music does feel very stereotypically Broadway (looking at you, "I See Stars"). It's always a pleasure when an adaptation of beloved source material seems to understand what makes the original so great, and this soundtrack seems to inherently understand the appeal of Mean Girls while building (ever so gently) on that source. I doubt this show will be as popular (or, frankly, as pitch perfect) as the film, but the soundtrack exceeded my expectations.
