Compact disc.
Credits printed on container ; lyrics on container insert.
Hopefulessness -- City looks pretty -- Charity -- Need a little time -- Nameless, faceless -- I'm not your mother, I'm not your bitch -- Crippling self-doubt and a general lack of confidence -- Help your self -- Walkin' on eggshells -- Sunday roast.
Performed by Courtney Barnett ; with accompaniment.
The Grammy and Brit-nominated Courtney Barnett returns with her second album. It follows her critically acclaimed 2015 debut album, Sometimes I Sit and Think and Sometimes I Just Sit, and a recent top ten collaborative record, Lotta Sea Lice. One of the most distinctive voices in music, Courtney is known for mixing witty observations with unflinching self-assessment. Fast forward to now and the clever turns of phrase and an eye for storytelling are still there.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Good good good, Barnett keeps on giving submitted by calinescus on August 2, 2019, 4:01pm Courtney Barnett is a master of dead pan delivery and narrative lyrics! Her songs are fun, listenable and engaging. "Charity" has a hook that keeps on giving.

Barnett is good at putting out albums that sneak slower, more melancholy tunes among more abrasive energetic fare. She is versatile as a writer.

I think the instrumentation and writing on this album is a little "heavier" than her other album and her EP. It feels a little less 'pop-folksy' than earlier Barnett (WHICH YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT, TOO). Perhaps due to influence of Kim Deal, who is featured on two songs here.

Cool, man! Play this!
