Reimagines the cycles of the moon as a mother bakes a Big Moon Cake and, despite Mama's request to wait, Little Star begins nibbling at it every night.

Lovely picture book submitted by Rachlancy on June 29, 2019, 9:41pm I enjoyed learning more about the traditional Chinese dessert discussed in this cute picture book. It was a great way to introduce the custom to my children.

Not impressed by this book submitted by ying96lu on February 22, 2024, 12:35pm The illustration of this book is lovely, but the content is very lacking. The story does not convey what a mooncake is to a Chinese/Chinese-American. The theme of a little girl getting out of bed everynight, and steals a piece of "cake" until the moon is invisible is totally irrational. The story line is confusing to kids and difficult for adults to explain.
