Reinvention Again submitted by Meginator on August 17, 2020, 7:23pm As usual, “The Now Now” proves that Gorillaz’ greatest strength is reinvention; you never know what you’re going to get, but it’s a solid bet that the music will be different than before and interesting in its own right. This edition of the Gorillaz is low-fi and stripped down, with electronic accents that never overwhelm the musical core. It’s a great, relaxed listen that will surely reveal more depth upon each encounter; it’s hard to ask for more than that.
