"The only graphic biography of Anne Frank's diary that has been authorized by the Anne Frank Foundation and that uses text from the diary--it will introduce a new generation of young readers to this classic of Holocaust literature. This adaptation of Anne Frank's Diary of a Young Girl into a graphic version for a young readership, maintains the integrity and power of the original work. With stunning, expressive illustrations and ample direct quotation from the diary, this edition will expand the readership for this important and lasting work of history and literature"-- Provided by publisher.

Not what I remember submitted by Xris on August 2, 2021, 11:28pm I read The Diary of Anne Frank when I was in school. Either I have not remembered everything that was in the book, or this graphic novel has more in it than what was in the version I read. This one has a lot more detail in it about their lives, before and during the time in the Annex. I'm wondering if there is an unabridged version out there that would have even more than this graphic novel. The Holocaust has always been a reading interest for me. This was a better look into her life than what I remember!
A good summary in graphic format submitted by journeyhawthorne on August 25, 2022, 1:00pm While it is obviously not the full diary, this graphic adaptation is a great summary that dives into some of the biggest themes of Anne's short life. A lot of things that did not make it into the adaptations that I read as a kid, including Anne's interest in women, were included here. I need to pick up the most recent edition of the definitive edition to learn more about the stuff that was cut from the first adaptation I read.
